Steve Miller, also known as Afterlife is one of the most Chill Out Producers and Dj, at the top on the UK, his music is present on over 500 compilations. The great quality and the impeccable taste are unmistakable signs of his signature.
During his rise has worked with artists like: K-Klass, Jose Padilla, Chris Coco, Lenny Ibizarre, Cathy Battistessa, Matt Blank and numerous others. With a lot of tracks he appears as Afterlife and Lux in many compilations of the renowned Café del Mar and he signs many summers in Ibiza.
The Afterlife‘s gigs begin in 2000 playing at The Globe in Glastonbury Festival gaining a huge success immediately. Then they continue in Ibiza and all around the world. In 2002 he also played the sunset at Café Mambo.
The Afterlife Project borns in 1995 with the namesake album “Afterlife” (Ripe Recordings). He has already an undisputed reputation when his melodic Chill Out flows into the 2nd album, “Semplicity” (Hed Kandi Records, 2000), capturing the soul of Ibiza. In 2004 releases the unforgettable “Speck of Gold” (Bar De Lune) in which appear Chris Coco, Cathy Battistessa etc. The album sells in a short time thousands of copies, his sound dips the listeners into a enveloping downtempo. “The Afterlife Lounge” Vol 1 (I Label, 2006) is the begin of an album series of collaboration with well known downtempo artists. It was remastered in 2011. The following year sees the release of “Metropolitan Lounge” (CCRE Music). The ingredients in “Electrosensitive” (BarGrooves/Defected Records, 2009) are soul, psychedelic, dub, jazz, latin, disco, house and electronic. This year Steve gives us a new warm and relaxing album, “The White Island” (Subatomic UK, 2012) and also releases the debut “NO LOGO” album on Chris Coco’s Melodica Recordings, a collaboration with ex Café Mambo resident Pete Gooding.
